Women’s Trim-A-Weigh

Program runs September 13 to November 29, 6 to 7 p.m.
In the first session you will receive a comprehensive explanation of the program and schedule appointments for individual assessments. The program will be followed up with 10 weeks of education, fitness, nutrition, behavior modification, and free use of the Fitness Center to help you effectively lose weight and keep it off. Also, members can participate in cooking demonstrations and create take-home recipes.
Cost: $299 per person for 10 weeks
Registration is required.

New Allergy Treatment Options

Monday, October 4, 7 to 8 p.m.
Want to fight those fall allergies? Melissa Neumann Schwartz, D.O. will discuss new alternative treatments for allergies. Multiple medications are on the market to treat different symptoms during allergy season. But there is a more long-term solution, called immunotherapy that can rid you of allergies for many years.
Cost: FREE
Location: Holy Redeemer Hospital, First Floor Auditorium, 1648 Huntingdon Pike, Meadowbrook

Mondays, October 4, November 15 & December 13, 7 to 10 p.m.
This course is designed for parents, grandparents, and babysitters.
Cost: $40.

Infant Massage Class

Saturdays, September 25, October 16, November 20 & December 18, 2 to 3:30 p.m.
Holy Redeemer Hospital and Medical Center offers infant massage classes after you are home and settled. Learning infant massage techniques helps ease colic, enhance sleep, stimulate brain development, increase circulation and improve parent-infant bonding. Mom and/or dad and baby attend the class together where infant massage techniques are taught and practiced. Classes are offered monthly.
Cost: $20/family

Oh, Baby! (and Fido, too.)

Tuesday, October 26, 7 to 8 p.m.
If you’re expecting a baby, then this seminar is essential in preparing your dog for the family’s new addition. Topics will include preparing your home for baby and dog, evaluating your dog’s obedience level, training techniques using positive reinforcement, and recognizing and understanding the subtle signs of dog body language.
Cost: $15 per person/couple. Pets are not permitted to attend.

Stroller Fitness Classes at The SportsZone, Southampton

Classes meet Tuesdays at 9:45 a.m.

Safe Sitter Course

Saturday, September 18 & 19 or November 13 & 14, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Boys and girls, ages 11 to 13, will learn about child development, age-appropriate activities, and lifesaving skills. To successfully complete this program, students must pass a comprehensive practical and written test.
Cost: $40 for a two-day program.
